Webinar: Remote working and the national security mission

The Intelligence and National Security Alliance (INSA) recently hosted a webinar exploring the future of remote work in relation to the national security mission. The session was moderated by Applied Insight’s Vice President of Intelligence, Gabriel Alix. He was joined by Wanda Jones-Heath, CISM, Department of the Air Force, Alan Dean, National Geospatial-Intelligence AgencyMelissa Kepler, LMI and Saurin Shah, Booz Allen Hamilton.

The rewards and challenges of remote working will be familiar to anyone reading this post, not to mention the rapid and involuntary shift to this style of working for most businesses as much of the world went into lockdown last year. Applied Insight has been creating solutions to make truly secure remote working a reality, so it’s great to see Gabe leading the conversation.

Topics covered in the webinar include:

  • The importance of mitigating risk, rather than just saying ‘no’ to it.
  • How the pandemic exposed the strengths and weaknesses of company culture.
  • Why adjusting to remote and flexible working is critical to business, as employees will find better options elsewhere.
  • Why it’s time to move from last year’s quick fix approaches to investing in secure remote working tools.
